Don't Judge A Book By Its Cover.....

Alaya Krin Calisto is no ordinary elf. Though she has the marking of any elven creature, small height, pointed ears, and graceful beauty, she is something more. Her doe eyes, so large and deep, hold a strange glimmer. Even in the darkest of shadows, her eyes glow with sheer radiance like no other; they are diamonds on black velvet. It is only by chance you see her eyes, for they are covered by the darkening hood of her large charcoal robe. Like all others that see her, she is merely a shadowy figure covered in darkness, though inwardly...she is brighter, and hotter then even the sun.

Like the mystery that she holds in merely her form, her magic is even more mystifying. She holds a dead art in her palms, which makes her the last living posseser, and the only female to use it. She is an Orb Mage, and a powerful one at that. With her elven intellect, and quickness, she is able to battle the best of any kind with her art. From orbs of ice and wind, to fire and earthquakes, her power lacks boundries. She does almost all but heal, and even now she lacks the full extent of her learning. Her teaching ended abruptly, for her mentor died unexpectedly.....

First And Last........

Past ,Present, and Future

As for her past, Alaya was once a young child as any in a small village called Sadish Mire. It was run by her father, for he was the head elder. Her mother was just as lovely as she, and even more kind hearted. Rumor had it that a king of a near by city had heard from a soothsayer that he was going to die, and by the hand of an Elf. The king had set out to kill every one in Sadish Mire, and so it was done. During a town festival which all had attended, and as young Alaya was about playing in the near by Sadish Mire Wood, the king struck. Every person was killed. When Alaya returned to see all slain, her first instinct was to run, so she ran back into her only sanctuary; back to the wood. One day she met an old man. His name was Galdero. Through the 100 years that he took care of her, he took her to be his apprentice and taught her the dead art of Orb Magic. She was to be the first female, and last to ever learn the art. With it, Raclava was summoned, and this was a new friend, the Raptadrac familiar (he was half bird half dragon, black and white feathered, and changeable in size. When in full form, he stands to her shoulder in dragon scale armor). Some years later, without Galdero's permission, she set after the king that had her village slain. With a vengeful heart, she killed him. Alaya found out that the king had a son, and that he was going to kill her. Alaya was not afraid to fight, this was her home and it was not going to happen again. But sadly it did. As she sat one night in deep meditation, the Prince came and killed her only friend, Galdero. When she awoke from her meditation, she found the Prince and his small army in their tiny shack. Instantly, and almost instinctively, she killed all of them, with one orb, which to this day, she swears to never use again. It was the Plague Orb, and as she watched the men before her decay away in the most painful, most disgusting, most torturous plague spell, she grabbed Raclava and ran out the door. On that day, she ran away again, but never to enter that land one more.
